Hey paw-some people! 🐾✨

We’re fur-ever grateful for your donations! Today, we are sharing Sandy’s story…

Sandy is one of the many street dogs we have been feeding, deworming and treating for fleas for the last year or so. While she remains on the street, we are doing our best to ensure she is as happy and healthy as possible until she finds her new family.

Sandy is around 1 years old and is a street dog in Panajachel, Guatemala. We recently got Sandy sterilized as she was in heat and attracting unwanted attention from the fellas in town. Sandy bled a lot during her surgery but she made a speedy recovery in her temporary foster home with one of our founders.

Dogs can be in heat – and therefore attracting suitors – for two to three weeks and while we tried to put Sandy back onto the streets one week after her surgery, she was still being harrassed by males and was finding it hard. We decided to keep Sandy until her hormones subsided.

Sandy is now back on the street, coming to us for food and love every day.

Your donations supported Sandy’s housing, feeding and medical care!

We’re excited to share more updates on Sandy’s journey and want to thank you again for your help in making this all possible.
